Yesterday morning (our Monday) we walked to our neighboring district Roppongi, for breakfast at
Eggcellent and it was just that!
I ordered the Early Bird special called "Start of a Nice Day" and for the equivalent of just under $8 USD I had pancakes, an Eggs Benedict, salad, a mini soup and coffee. Kiel ordered the "Half & Half Benedict" which included one regular Benedict and an Avocado Marguro Quinoa Benedict. Yum!

After breakfast we made a stop at the Hie Shrine, a shrine dedicated to the Togukawa shoguns. Destroyed in WWII and reconstructed in 1958, it's Japan's most urban shrine sandwiched in between an upscale business district and government buildings.

We ventured to Shinjuku again (this is where the Robot Restaurant was) to see the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, but not before stopping for curry lunch at a place called
CoCoICHI and of course, a book store.

Admission to the government building was free and we saw some great panoramic views of Tokyo from about 662 feet high.

We relaxed for the rest of the day and planned out some of our next adventures. Tomorrow (Wednesday) is our last full day in Tokyo before we head to Kyoto and we've got some fun things in store.
Dinner late last night was take-out pizza from the Domino's across the street and it really hit the spot. I never eat Domino's back home (in fact, I think it's pretty gross), but something about this was different. I ordered in English and by way of pointing, a Pepperoni pizza which was called the "American Special". If I were the guy at the counter, I would have been laughing at me the whole time.
