It was over brunch, just two days before our wedding, when Kiel proposed we quit our jobs and journey across the world (he always has these tricks up his sleeve!). After realizing that there will always be some sort of excuse to NOT travel: the timing isn't right; work/jobs; money; fear of the unknown, we were convinced that actually, there is no better time to travel than NOW.
The new year rolled around and we affirmed our decision to leave our 9-5 jobs, sell our place, and throw everything into storage, keeping all but one bag strapped to each of our backs. Life's too short, the world is too big, and we haven't even seen or experienced half of it.
Alyssa, the seeker of activities, and Kiel, the foodie; we're just two extroverted introverts ready for adventure. We hope to step out of our comfort zones, find new perspectives and immerse ourselves in different cultures, with empathy, mindfulness and gratitude.
You should stop in CLE on your drive from MI to NY to watch the best team in baseball play. Progressive field is the bees knees and I can tell you about all the awesome hot spots to hit in NEOhio along the way...
