On October 2nd we drove across state lines into California, very bittersweety knowing that our trip was coming to an end, yet feeling content to be back.
We arrived in Twentynine Palms, CA, just outside of Joshua Tree National Park. It was both our first time visiting Joshua Tree, and it certainly lived up to the magical and beautiful landscape that I had imagined.

After we spend two nights near JTree, we drove up to San Simeon and stayed right along the bay. On October 5th we toured the fabulous Hearst Castle before heading "home" to Sunnyvale, where we will be temporarily staying with Kiel's Mom until we settle in a place and city of our own (TBD!).
