Busan Tower

View at sunset.
Yesterday set out to visit the top of Busan Tower, only to find it closed for renovations. However, we came across some nice unexpected gems in the city.

We started the day off at one of the major shopping malls. Don't worry I didn't buy anything, but of course Kiel really liked the bookstore (even though 98% of the books were in Korean and tightly wrapped in plastic), after he got lost in an electronics/gaming store...😒

Looking down...
I randomly found a bit of Albany in a Korean magazine...
Crazy enough, the caption translated to "of experience and
hometown for longing containing ache".

And when you can't find your child husband, just check the video game department...
Nice subway art

Later in the day we ventured out for Busan Tower, but unbeknownst to us the observation deck was closed due to construction. It was still nice to walk through Yongdusan Park, but we were a bit bummed since we were looking forward to seeing some city views from the top of the tower.

Statue of the Great general, Yi Sun Sin
The tower itself doesn't serve any purpose except for entertainment and it doesn't have any transmitting equipment,
setting it apart from most other towers.

In the distance we saw this Lotte mall so we decided to check it out...

And surprisingly stumbled upon this colorful temple along the way...

Then we found a little park with old men on the most simple, yet seemingly affective work out equipment...

...And some creepy bronze statues on the main street.

It turns out the mall had an observation deck called the "Sky Park" so we were able to see some cool views after all!

Being a tourist again.

Then we ended the night back at Okkadak, because the chicken is that good.
