On our last day in Chiang Rai we visited Wat Rong Seua Ten (The Blue Temple), another extravagant temple constructed in 2016, with the blue color representing Dharma, or Buddha's code of morals.
That evening we spent an hour or so at the Saturday Night Walking Street Market. Conveniently located a block away from our hotel were several streets lined with hundreds of food, snack and drink stalls, clothing and souvenir vendors, music, and tons of people. Kiel thoroughly enjoyed a $2 burger from a food truck.
Sunday was a travel day: 10am pickup to go to the Chiang Rai airport, 1hr, 20 min. flight, a 2 hour layover in Bangkok, and another quick flight and we arrived in Koh Samui around 5pm.
