Although it may seem like it, we aren't always on the go, go, go! Since we are doing such extensive travel, we've realized the importance of down time and openly/fully take advantage of it.
A few food pics from the past few days...
Matcha Waffle breakfast from The Missing Socks Laundry Cafe
Dinner at Lilypop. It was good going in and only one upset stomach after this meal! 😑 (Kiel thinks it might be from his drink though)
Today we went to the Old Market area for (vegetarian) lunch at a spot called Banlle . The outdoor patio was quite lovely and I had some of the best fresh coconut water ever.
The look your husband gives you when he's about to eat a vegetarian meal. |
After lunch we went to the local movie theater. We saw Baby Driver which was pretty cheesy yet entertaining, and only cost us a total of $7 for tickets and $1.50 for a large popcorn! It was a nice change of pace and to do something that was seemingly "normal" and homey.
This was after our dance party in the theater and before Kiel spilled half of the popcorn on the floor... |

Hi four eyes! |
After the movie we stopped at a cafe for some Iced Americano's and wifi. Then Kiel checked out a bookstore while I went and got a (long overdue) pedicure, which turned out to be a wonderful experience.
For dinner we went back to Pot & Pan Restaurant and Kiel ordered the steak again since he enjoyed it so much the first time (back home he will order his steak medium rare, here he orders it well-done to be on the safe side!). I tried their version of a Margherita pizza, which had no basil and five random olives on it 😂 but it was actually pretty tasty.
And when you refuse to have someone else do your laundry (at $1.00 per underwear), that's when the TIDE packets come in handy!
