Last night we camped near Arches and battled with a dust storm with 30-40 mph (?)winds. We did all we could to prevent our tent from completely imploding or exploding (we weren't sure what is was going to do) while also trying to keep Daisy calm, but it got so unbearable that we had to run to the car. I could feel the grit in my hair and mouth as the car shook and the trees and tent continued to flap violently in the wind.
The storm eventually ended around 1am and it was as quiet and calm as could be. Kiel made his way back into the tent and Daisy and I (hardly) slept in the car. I think it is safe to say we've had enough of "roughing it" and ready for a change of pace.
The Airbnb we are staying at in Denver is cute, cozy and comfortable (if you can't tell by the smile on Daisy's face in the last photo), and the perfect accommodation for the next three nights.
This evening we stopped by Great Divide Brewing Co. (recommended by several friends) and Cart-Driver for some tasty wood fired pizza. We're looking forward to exploring more of Denver --we already like what we've seen!

Yikes - sounds like another reminder of how thankful we should be for California weather! Glad you guys made it to nicer accommodations and enjoyed Denver!
