Unfortunately we ran into some rainy weather on our visit to St. Louis, thus canceling the Cardinals baseball game. This put a damper on things (literally), but we were still able check out the stadium from afar and snap a few photos at the monumental Gateway Arch. The world's largest robotics competition FIRST was in town (that explained the inflated hotel price and children everywhere), but we opted not to check it, or much else out.
The rain and thunder continued as we had dinner and some brews at Schlafly, followed by pistachio and boozy maple bourbon ice cream at Clementine's Naughty & Nice Creamery (amazing!), and then capped off the night with popcorn and a movie in our hotel room. All in all it was a relaxing day.
It looks like as we eventually make our way to NY there is more ominous weather ahead. But here's hoping the rain will hold off for our last week of the road trip!
