Layover in Kuala Lumpur

On Wednesday, the 28th we had a long 38 hours of travel!



Some backwards flights...

Yogyakarta --> Kuala Lumpur --> Sydney --> Queenstown

We had a 6 hour layover in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, so instead of sitting in the airport for that long, we decided to spend 3 hours roundtrip in a car to see The Petronas Towers and Batu Caves. Crazy, maybe. Worth it, totally.

Our Grab driver from the airport turned into a personal driver and we paid him under the table to take us to and from each place and wait for us (this was his idea). And so we trusted him and got to see Kuala Lumpur in under 2 hours!

Then it was back to the airport; on a redeye to Sydney; a 4 hour layover in Sydney; and we arrived in Queenstown, New Zealand around 8pm. Oh travel!
